One-day wine tour to Kakheti is a fascinating journey to the eastern part of Georgia to enjoy the mountain scenery, picturesque villages, ancient temples and one-way life of the locals.  Tasting unique Georgian wines and traditional dishes will make a sense into discovering the country

Tour description:

Depart from Tbilisi towards the Kakheti region of Georgia, the cradle of Georgian wine. Beautiful road to Kakheti lies through Gombori pass (2 h, 100 km). Our first stop will be in Telavi, the administrative and historic center of the region. Short stop at the monument to Erekle II.

Trip continues to Tsinandali Wine Museum - a place, were the first bottled wine was produced, tasting different types of wine surrounding beautiful yards of A. Chavchavadze Museum. 

Trip continues to wine house, visit to winery include vast vineyard, museum of traditional Georgian winemaking in qvevri, and introduction of facilities for various workshops.

- Harvesting and squeezing grapes for wine (subject to seasonality)

- An excellent round-up of the tour will be tasting five different wines produced at Twins Winery according to Georgian traditional technology of winemaking in qvevri.
